Valley Equine Reproduction has added Hott Abra, a 2021 bay stallion with a proven performance résumé and elite cutting bloodlines, to its stallion roster ahead of the 2026 breeding season.

Bred for the big pen and already delivering at the Open level, Hott Abra enters stud with lifetime earnings of $84,347. His resume is highlighted by a championship run at the 2025 Brazos Bash Open Derby and a Co-Championship at the 2025 Southern Cutting Open Derby. Additional placings include Champion at the Non Pro Cutting Novice Horse Derby, second at The Outback Cutting Day One Open Derby, and fourth at the Non Pro Cutting Open Derby. He has been shown by Colt Moore and will continue showing through 2026.

Hott Abra is sired by Hottish, the $23.8 Million sire who ranked 2025 QData #3 and 2024 NCHA #4 Leading Sire. On the bottom side, he is out of Metallilac, a proven producer of five money earners. That group includes full siblings Laser, earner of $56,806 and West Texas Intermediate Open Derby Reserve Champion, Anvil, with $28,365 in earnings. His second dam, Sweet Abra, is a $3 million producer and one of the most influential broodmares of her era.

“Hott Abra is just getting started,” said the Reeder Family. “Standing him at Valley Equine allows us to introduce him to breeders the right way, with a strong incentive program behind him and a plan to keep him showing. We believe in his future, and this is the right place to build it.”

Owned by Wendell and Wes Reeder, Hott Abra is 7 Panel N/N and will stand the 2026 breeding season at Valley Equine Reproduction with a breeding fee of $4,500. Due to his continued show schedule, breeders are encouraged to contact the office prior to finalizing 2026 breeding plans after completing a contract.

“Hott Abra checks the boxes,” said Andrew Waters, Stallion Manager at Valley Equine Reproduction. “He has already proven himself in the Open, he comes from a deep and reliable female line, and he has the mind and consistency breeders should look for when planning for the future. We’re extremely excited to welcome him to Valley Equine.”

Hott Abra is eligible for the Valley Equine Super Stallion Incentive, the Hott Abra Incentive, and NCHA Super Stakes.

Designed to reward early believers, the Hott Abra Incentive will return money to his foals as they reach show age at the NCHA Futurity, offering payouts in the Open, Non Pro, and Amateur divisions.
