Valley Equine is proud to welcome Lone Woolf into his next chapter as a full-time breeding stallion. Sired by Metallic Rebel and out of A Little Reylena, the 2018 red roan has officially retired from competition following a career that earned over $668,000 and left a lasting mark on the sport of cutting.

Trained and shown by EquiStat $6 Million Rider Wes Galyean, Lone Woolf quickly established himself as a standout athlete. Known for his exceptional cow sense, grit, and style, he was a consistent presence at major limited-age events and among the most respected stallions in today’s show pen. His dynamic presence and ability to rise to the occasion made him one of the most accomplished horses of his generation.

Originally scheduled to compete at The American Performance Horseman, Lone Woolf was sidelined by a recent injury that prompted a shift in focus. In alignment with Wolf Livestock’s longstanding commitment to the long-term health and success of their horses, the decision was made to retire him from competition and begin the next phase of his career at stud.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one for the horse,” said Billy Wolf, owner of Wolf Livestock. “Our first priority has always been the care and health of the horses in our program. Lone Woolf has given us everything in the arena, and we are excited to see him take this next step as a sire. We believe his impact on the breeding side will be just as powerful.”

Lone Woolf’s move to the breeding shed marks a significant transition, one that carries momentum. With a proven pedigree, standout performance record, and signature presence, he is positioned to make a meaningful impact on the next generation.

Valley Equine is honored to support this next phase and looks forward to standing Lone Woolf to breeders across the industry in the seasons ahead.
