Valley Equine Reproduction has announced the addition of Armour (Metallic Rebel x Coureygous, by Dual Rey) to the 2026 stallion roster.

With lifetime earnings of $379,775, Armour has proven himself in the show pen with accomplishments including the Breeders Invitational Open Derby Champion, Split 5th NCHA Open Futurity, 3rd NCHA Non Pro Derby, 8th at The American Performance Horseman Cutting Classic, and Top 10 at the Brazos Bash Open Derby.

Bred and raised by the Galyean family, Armour is shown by Wesley and Kristen Galyean, just as his dam Coureygous was during her own career. Coureygous earned more than $250,000, was the NCHA Non Pro Horse of the Year, Co-Champion of the NCHA Non Pro Futurity, and Bonanza Non Pro Derby Champion. She is a full sibling to Lil Rattler, the dam of Nineteen 42 and Third Edge; Button Down Supercat, the dam of Bugattii; and Cina De Maya, the dam of Metallic Curveball. Their dam, Highbrow Supercat, earned $366,230, was an NCHA Open Futurity Champion, and has produced more than $1.8 million in progeny earnings.

On the top side, Armour is by Metallic Rebel, an NCHA Horse of the Year, Open World Champion Stallion, and Hall of Fame inductee. Metallic Rebel is currently the QData #2 Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire, following his ranking as the QData and NCHA #3 Leading Sire and NRCHA #4 Leading Sire in 2024. His progeny earnings already exceed $15 million. Metallic Rebel is by Metallic Cat, NCHA Horse of the Year and the all-time leading cutting and reined cow horse sire, whose progeny have earned more than $80 Million.

Armour represents a bloodline that runs deep through Valley Equine’s history, with his sire, dam’s sire, and multiple generations of sires before them all having stood at Valley Equine.

“Armour is a horse that reflects the kind of depth and quality we aim to represent at Valley Equine,” said Jeremy Barwick, owner of Valley Equine Reproduction. “His pedigree ties directly to stallions that have shaped this program, and his performance record speaks for itself. We’re proud to have him join the roster and look forward to what he’ll bring to breeders.”

Now owned by Dave and Jessy Meyer, Armour, known in the barn as “Army,” will continue to show through 2026 with the Galyeans while beginning his breeding career at Valley Equine. His 2026 breeding fee is set at $4,000, and he is 7 Panel N/N. Because he will continue showing, mare owners are encouraged to contact the Valley Equine office for scheduling and availability.

Valley Equine Reproduction is proud to welcome Armour to the roster and continue representing bloodlines that have shaped the industry.
